TabTrade — The Short Version
TabTrade opened in March 2026. Online broker based in Saint Lucia, licensed through the FSRA. The founder is Benjamin Boulter. Previously, he was in leadership at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
His background matters. It means the person running this is not figuring it out from scratch. Does not guarantee anything. But better than a founder with no industry background.
They launched with Equinix LD4/LD5 connectivity. Same infrastructure banks and hedge funds use. Most new brokers starts with a white-label MT4 setup. These guys led with infrastructure. Unusual for a new broker.
The instrument list: forex, stock indices, gold, silver, commodities, shares, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For something this new, that coverage is broad.
The Software
They offer: MT5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both MT5 and cTrader from a single account. A lot of brokers pick one platform. Access to both matters. Use whichever you prefer.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Full charting, automated trading, massive community. If you have traded on MetaTrader previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader by Spotware is the more modern one. Cleaner order book. Faster charting. Built-in algo trading. Many people like it better than MT5 after using both.
Direct FIX connectivity is available for automated strategies but requires the VIP account ($25,000 deposit). TradingView is apparently on the roadmap. That would round things out once it is live.
What You Pay
Three account types: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard. Spread starts at 1.0 pips. No commission. Straightforward. Zero deposit requirement. Suits people who want simple pricing.
Edge account. Interbank-style spreads from 0.0 pips average. Commission of $3.50 each way. What you actually pay: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is often a fraction of a pip. Meaning your all-in cost can sit under half a pip. That is cheap for a broker with $0 to start. Most platforms that run raw pricing at this level want $500 or more to open. TabTrade does not.
VIP. $25k to open. FIX API, faster fills, tailored rates. Not something the average person. Skip it unless you move real size.
How Fast Are the Fills
The speed is the area where Tab Trade separates from most new launches. Equinix data centres. Under 30ms on Edge. Under 20ms on VIP. Those are institutional numbers. Most retail brokers operate at a much wider range.
Should you care? If you trade small timeframes, absolutely. The gap between a 30ms fill and a 200ms fill is profit or loss on tight trades. If you trade higher timeframes, you probably will not feel it. The point is the infrastructure is there. That is they are not cutting corners on the tech.
Pair those fill times with the Edge account pricing and the overall offering makes sense. Few brokers in this bracket have infrastructure at this level.
Regulation
Now, the thing you need to be straight about. The broker is regulated by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is tier-3. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If the lack of tier-1 regulation is a dealbreaker, this broker is not for you. There are FCA-regulated options out there.
However. The person running it built his career at BlackBull Markets, an FMA-regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Dodgy operations do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. That does not guarantee anything. It does inform how you think about it.
The trade-off: no FCA or ASIC safety net. In exchange: high leverage, cheap spreads, $0 to start, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off is worth it depends on you.
Deposit Bonus
Tab Trade offers a deposit bonus of up to $2,000. Typical sign-up bonus. You put money in, the broker top up your balance. Usual conditions attached: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before you commit.
