The Broker - The Short Version
Tab Trade opened in March 2026. CFD broker incorporated in Saint Lucia, licensed through the Financial Services Regulatory Authority. The person who started it is Benjamin Boulter. Before this, he was a senior exec at BlackBull Markets, a well-known broker.
His background matters. It suggests the founder knows how a proper broker operates. Does not mean TabTrade is the same as BlackBull. It is better than a founder with no industry background.
TabTrade came out of the gate with Equinix data centre access in London. Same data centres prime brokers run on. Usually a new brokerage focuses on ads and sign-up promos. These guys led with infrastructure. Not the typical playbook.
What you can trade: FX, stock indices, gold, silver, oil, energies, softs, equities, cryptocurrencies, ETFs. Over 1,000 instruments. For something this new, the breadth is solid.
What You Trade On
You get: MetaTrader 5, cTrader by Spotware, and a browser platform. Both MT5 and cTrader from a single account. Most brokers commit to either MT5 or cTrader. Getting both is useful. Use whichever you prefer.
MetaTrader 5 is what most people know. Complete charts, automated trading, massive community. If you have traded on MetaTrader previously, there are no surprises.
cTrader is the alternative. Better depth of market. Smoother chart interaction. cBot support. Plenty of traders find it more natural after comparing.
FIX API is there for algo traders but needs the VIP tier ($25,000 to open). TradingView charting is reportedly in the works. That should round things out once it is live.
Accounts and Pricing
Three tiers: Standard, Edge, VIP.
Standard account. Spreads from 1.0 pips. Commission-free. Easy to track. No minimum deposit. Works for beginners.
Edge. True raw pricing from 0.0 pips on average. Commission of $3.50 per side. Total cost: raw spread plus $7 per full lot. On EUR/USD, the raw spread is often below 0.2 pips. So your actual cost per trade sometimes sits below 0.5 pips. That is good for a broker with no minimum deposit. Most brokers that have spreads this tight ask for $500 or $1,000 upfront. This broker requires zero deposit.
VIP account. $25,000 minimum. FIX API, sub-20ms execution, tailored rates. Not something the average person. Skip it unless you run serious volume.
Execution Speed
This is where TabTrade actually does something different. Equinix LD4/LD5. Sub-30ms execution on Edge. Below 20ms on VIP. That is not marketing fluff. The average platform run hundreds of milliseconds.
Does this affect you? For short-term trading, yes. The difference between fast execution and sluggish execution is catching the move or missing it. If you hold positions longer, it matters less. But the fact that they invested in proper execution. That says what kind of broker this is.
Pair that execution speed with 0.0 pip spreads and $7 round-turn and what you get is strong. Hardly anyone with no minimum deposit offer execution like this.
The FSRA Question
Here is the detail that requires honesty. TabTrade is licensed by the FSRA in Saint Lucia. That is outside tier-1 jurisdiction. No FCA. No fund protection scheme. If that is a dealbreaker, stop reading. Plenty of ASIC-licensed brokers out there.
But. Benjamin Boulter came from BlackBull Markets, a tier-1 regulated broker. The server placement is expensive. Fly-by-night platforms do not pay for tier-1 data centre access. That does not guarantee anything. It does inform how you think about it.
The deal: you trade regulatory safety. What you get instead: high leverage, raw pricing from 0.0 pips, no minimum deposit, Equinix execution. Whether the trade-off makes sense comes down to your priorities.
Welcome Offer
TabTrade offers a welcome bonus of up to $2,000. Typical welcome offer. You deposit, TabTrade credit extra capital. The normal fine print: minimum lots traded before you can withdraw the bonus. Check the terms before you deposit.
